✨ Sobre mí – César Eduardo Díaz Guevara

Soy César Eduardo Díaz Guevara, nacido en Quito, Ecuador, una ciudad en la mitad del mundo, rodeada de montañas y volcanes que inspiran resiliencia, visión y conexión con la naturaleza. Me encuentro en una etapa de madurez activa, con la visión de dejar un legado tanto personal como profesional, y la energía de seguir creando, enseñando y aportando a la sociedad.

Creo firmemente en la innovación tecnológica —inteligencia artificial, digitalización, robótica— como herramientas para transformar la sociedad, siempre con un enfoque humano y ético.

He sido Director Ejecutivo del Servicio Ecuatoriano de Normalización (INEN) en tres periodos (2016–2018, 2019, 2023–2025). Soy fundador de Corporación 3D, una organización con más de 25 años de trayectoria, y actualmente su Presidente Ejecutivo, desde donde brindo consultoría en gestión, estrategia, innovación y sostenibilidad. He acompañado a más de 200 organizaciones en América Latina y el Caribe, trabajando con ONUDI, ALADI y otras instituciones internacionales.

Actualmente lidero y participo activamente en comités internacionales como:

• ISO/TC 314 – Sociedades que envejecen

• ISO/TC 309 – Gobernanza

• ISO/TC 323 – Economía Circular

• ISO/TC 176 – Gestión de la Calidad

• ISO/TC 279 – Gestión de la Innovación

• ISO CASCO – Evaluación de la conformidad

En cuanto a redes y membresías: fui miembro activo de COPANT y formé parte del Consejo de ISO (ISO Council). Soy miembro activo de ASQ, RECEX y RISC, y actualmente Vicepresidente de la Alianza Ambiental de América.

Mi propósito es integrar la calidad con los grandes retos de nuestro tiempo: educación, salud, envejecimiento poblacional, sostenibilidad, cambio climático, transformación digital y gobernanza (ética, integridad, antisoborno y cumplimiento) para fortalecer instituciones y organizaciones.

Aspiro a formar nuevas generaciones que amen los temas de calidad y a dejar un legado normativo, estratégico y cultural en América Latina.

Este blog es un espacio para compartir ideas, reflexiones y experiencias, nacido de la convicción de que la calidad y la actitud son claves para transformar vidas, organizaciones y sociedades.

I am César Eduardo Díaz Guevara, born in Quito, Ecuador, a city at the middle of the world, surrounded by mountains and volcanoes that inspire resilience, vision, and a deep connection with nature. I am in a stage of active maturity, with the vision of leaving both a personal and professional legacy, and with the energy to continue creating, teaching, and contributing to society.

I strongly believe in technological innovation —artificial intelligence, digitalization, robotics— as tools to transform society, always with a human and ethical approach.

I served as Executive Director of the Ecuadorian Standardization Service (INEN) in three terms (2016–2018, 2019, 2023–2025). I am the founder of Corporación 3D, an organization with more than 25 years of experience, and currently its Executive President, providing consulting in management, strategy, innovation, and sustainability. I have supported more than 200 organizations across Latin America and the Caribbean, working with UNIDO, ALADI, and other international institutions.

I am currently leading and actively participating in international committees such as:

• ISO/TC 314 – Ageing Societies

• ISO/TC 309 – Governance

• ISO/TC 323 – Circular Economy

• ISO/TC 176 – Quality Management

• ISO/TC 279 – Innovation Management

• ISO CASCO – Conformity Assessment

In terms of networks and memberships: I was an active member of COPANT and served on the ISO Council. I am an active member of ASQ, RECEX, and RISC, and currently Vice President of the Environmental Alliance of the Americas.

My purpose is to integrate quality with the major challenges of our time: education, health, ageing societies, sustainability, climate change, digital transformation, and governance (ethics, integrity, anti-bribery, and compliance) to strengthen institutions and organizations.

I aspire to inspire new generations to embrace quality and to leave a normative, strategic, and cultural legacy in Latin America.
